The cold weather has slowed boat and wade traffic on the Little Red, but a few are still braving the temperatures to land some trout. The river was muddy early this week due to last weekend’s rains. However, the morning and afternoon generation should clear it up quickly. Streamers, pheasant tails, Copper Johns, San Juan worms and midges are working well for fly-fishermen. The best Trout Magnet colors continue to be hot pink and “purple haze” bodies on chartreuse jig heads.
