We are currently receiving two units of generation around 10-12 during the day with the lake level at two feet (at the time of this report) above seasonal top pool. We are expecting heavy generation to continue until the lake level drops below pool level. The upper river is clear, fishing well, but will have high water due to the current generation schedule. Middle river is clear, fishing well and has good water levels in the morning before the generation reaches this area around 11:00AM. Lower river continues to be stained from recent rains and runoff. Streamers, pheasant tails, san juan worms and midges continue to work well for fly fishermen. Trout Magnet colors continue to be hot pink body on chartreuse and gold Trout Magnet jig heads. As always, if you need up-to-date river information feel free to contact Sore Lip’Em All Guide Service. Always check before heading to the Little Red River by calling the Greers Ferry Lake Powerhouse recording or check the Corp of Engineers website for real time water release and the Southwest Power Administration forecasted generation schedule.
