We are currently receiving one unit of generation 24 hours a day. Expect this generation pattern to continue this week and probably through the weekend. The lake level is slightly over three feet from top pool. Moderate to heavy generation will continue until the lake level drops below pool level. This generation pattern allows for good drift fishing from a boat. Long leaders and added weight are recommended to get flies or Trout Magnets down for a good presentation. Streamers, san juan worms and midges continue to work well for fly fishermen. Trout Magnet colors continue to be hot pink body on chartreuse and gold Trout Magnet jig heads. Always check before heading to the Little Red River by calling the Greers Ferry Lake Powerhouse recording or check the Corp of Engineers website for real time water release and the Southwest Power Administration forecasted generation schedule.
