Today, Tuesday, the Little Red in front of the cabin is muddy from creek runoff up stream. The middle and lower sections of the Little Red are stained and muddy from the recent snow and rain runoff. The upper section of the Little Red has been clear. The generation schedule continues to be primarily morning and evening water release, however this could change to a heavier generation with forecasted rain this week.  Streamers, pheasant tails, copper johns, san juan worms and midges continue to work well for fly fishermen.  Trout Magnet colors continue to be hot pink and “purple haze” bodies on chartreuse jig heads. Always check before heading to the Little Red River by calling the Greers Ferry Lake Powerhouse recording or check the Corp of Engineers website for real time water release and the Southwest Power Administration forecasted generation schedule.
